Rating by category:
It's a business hotel, a little cold on the outside, but with warm, clean and very comfortable rooms;professional staff; 2nd stay there, and again, nothing bad to say about this hotel! It's well placed on the outskirts of the beautifull Vicenza and it's 10x cheaper than a Venezia hotel with the same standard and comfort. Ideal to visit Venezia, Verona, Garda Lake, Mantova, Padova...
maybe the access to the hotel; you have to make a U-turn on a busy street (for those who can't drive a car that is ;-))
The location is perfect, the rooms are large and clean. The hotel staff is helpful and polite. This is a perfect place for a few days stay.
There was only one nice lady there..from the breakfast room. She was really kind and she had a smile on her face.
Old and really unpleasant hotel. It deserves 2 stars maximum.
We loved the restaurant, the food and wine were great and the breakfast was good too. The room was very nice and a great value.
We would have preferred a location in the city center.
Very friendly staff, lots of parking space, and an excellent breakfast. Typical modern hotel without a personality but gives you everything you need in a well layed out room and bathroom, large lift, wide corridors, spacious reception.
Business hotel out of the centre which means having a car is necessary.
A clean, modern hotel in its own grounds. Convenient for trains to Verona and Venice. Very helpful staff.
Just a bit too far from the station to walk, but parking there is easy.
Quality interior furnishment. Excellent matress. Very friendly staff.
W-LAN: impossible to send outgoing messages through Outlook, so had to use personal account. :(
The fact that the staff were very accommodating. The night we checked in was a bit disorganized because the hotel receptionist was new and not aware of the particulars with our reservation. He was a little rude and because of that, the hotel manager apologized whole-heartedly to us the next day and even sent us a bottle of champagne to show how truly sorry they were for the whole mix up with our reservation.
Our only regret was that the hotel restaurant is closed on Sundays.
Da Porto is a very comfortable hotel in the surrounding of Vicenza. People in the hotel are really kind and helpful, breakfast is large and room clean. Recommended for groups or business trip, far from the city center for tourists.
As usual, doors and walls of the room are not sound-proof
The hotel was ok for the money. The breakfast was wonderful and allowed us to start our day off on a full tank. The staff was also very helpful.
We traveled as a family and my two kids (19yrs old son and 15yrs old daughter) shared a twin room. However, the bed's were placed together in the center of the room and not separated by room furniture. Not good! You will need transportation to get from the hotel to the city center. Lastly, the ac didn't work very well in our rooms.
The staff was accommodating, especially in the restaurant and breakfast room. The hotel and our room were clean and quiet, even with a party going on downstairs. Parking was free and in a covered garage. Best of all, our pet was welcomed at no extra charge!
As it had been a sunny day, our room on the upper floor which had several large windows was very hot upon arrival at 8 PM. It took quite a while to cool down by open windows (no A/C available at that time of year). The location of the hotel was not near to the downtown part of the city. A car would definitely be required to stay here.
The restaurant is very good
The swimming pool is inaccessible as it is across a four-lane highway
The hotel is useful as a break on a long trip because it is not far from the highway.
For a visit to Vicenza I would definitely go closer to town because for the same price (70Euros) there are facilities of an equal standard for the same price.
Location and design
No cooked breakfast apart from fried egg the tv in our room does not have english speaking channels
It was clean and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast is very good with daily chef's dessert and fresh fruit, delicious croissonts.
The internet connection was horrible. Kept getting thrown off was unable to check email.
